Tim Sattler is the founder of LEND-IT.CA, Canada’s rental marketplace that makes it easy to rent and borrow instead of buy, connecting neighbours and local rental businesses in one trusted place. He grew up in a small town where distance shaped every errand and the first fix was knocking on a neighbour’s door. When the nearest hardware aisle was a long drive, the right tool was usually in someone’s shed. That resourceful, community-first mindset is baked into LEND-IT.CA. A lifelong outdoors lover, Tim aims to make choices that are sustainable and sensible. His nine years in the Canadian Armed Forces in operational roles taught him to plan well, steward resources, and strengthen communities. His mission is simple: make renting the default before “Buy Now,” reduce overconsumption, and keep value in Canadian communities.
